Five IGERT Trainees attended the annual SICB national meeting. Three Trainees, Joanna Mandecki (Coordination of oculomotor and locomotor systems in fishes), Charlene McCord (Diversity of cranial morphology and jaw biomechanics in tetraodontiform fishes), and Richard Williams IV (Pectoral fins as sensors: spatial distribution of sensory input to the pectoral fins of the bluegill sunfish) presented talks. Trainee Thomas Stewart presented a poster (Adipose fin function in Horabagrus brachysoma: first identification of a muscular control mechanism for the adipose fin) on his IGERT-related dissertation research.
